Founded in 1999, Sunlighten produces and sells far infrared saunas for therapeutic benefit for both residential and commercial use. Sunlighten was established because of our founder’s experience with far infrared therapy. After suffering through years of chronic illnesses he was healed through this amazing technology and made it his mission to spread the message of healing infrared light in the name preventative medicine.

Today our infrared saunas are sold globally to help detoxify the body, assist with weight loss, provide pain relief and have been clinically shown to lower blood pressure. A Sunlight far infrared sauna is a pre-fabricated kit that can easily be assembled and installed anywhere without the use of tools and is energy efficient.

Research and Development

Prior to manufacturing, Sunlighten conducted extensive market research to determine what customers wanted in a far infrared sauna. This insight became the foundation for our goal to create a far infrared sauna that is both beautiful and effective. Sunlighten owns the only sauna line that has been clinically tested for maximum results.

Our Future

Sunlighten has experienced substantial growth year after year. We are proud to call Kansas City home where we recently moved into our new global headquarters where we grew from 5,000 to 40,000 square feet in office space.

Sunlighten is continually investing in its future. We have a New Product Development Team that is dedicated to opening new doors to health and wellness through innovative technology and design. These efforts will continue to move Sunlighten forward globally.

Locally, we are focused on growing the business of our new day spa. Sunlight Day Spa is Kansas City’s premier healing spa that features detoxifying spa treatments and far infrared therapy.
