Far infrared Sauna – Increase Your Flexibility during National Yoga Awareness Month

Far infrared saunas are the perfect addition to your yoga wellness routine as it enhances the benefits received from practicing yoga.  September is National Yoga Month, the Yoga Health Foundation’s national observance and awareness campaign to get people started with — and enjoying the benefits of — yoga.

We love yoga and we love the fact that many of our customers regularly practice hot yoga at home in our Community Solocarbon® Far Infrared Saunas. Our Community Solocarbon Sauna enables anyone to easily create a hot yoga space at their convenience, and we are hearing more stories about Sunlighten infrared sauna users who are combining their love of yoga with their love of infrared sauna!

There are several different types of hot yoga available today, and many yoga studios that offer hot yoga classes. (Some of our favorite commercial clients offer hot yoga!) However, we love that Sunlighten Saunas give you an option for hot yoga on those days you can’t get to a studio.

Some of the benefits you get from practicing hot yoga in a Sunlighten Far Infrared Sauna:

  • Expands your capacity to breathe deeply and fully
  • Prevents injury and may prevent or improve chronic illness
  • Promotes better sleep
  • Weight loss
  • Improvement in posture and body awareness
  • Improve the healing and regenerative powers of your body
  • Lengthening and strengthening of muscles
  • Increased flexibility
  • Gives the body a cardiovascular workout without negative impacting forces

While our Sunlighten Community Solocarbon® Far Infrared Saunas are easily configured to allow ample space for a single person to pose, you can also do some static hot yoga poses in our one-person and two-person models. To get you started on your own yoga journey, here are some great poses you can do in your own Sunlighten Sauna today!

To learn more about the dimensions of our saunas and the overall benefits that our infrared sauna can have on your health before, during or after your yoga session, please contact one of our infrared sauna specialists. Or let us know in the comments below how you practice hot yoga in your own Sunlighten Sauna.
