mPulse Infrared Sauna featured in Top 10 High Tech Health Tools to Try this Year

Today marks a special date- January 17- it’s the day when most people officially fall off the wagon!  Which wagon, you might ask?  The New Year’s Resolutions wagon!  It’s officially “Ditch New Year’s Resolutions Day” and it’s the most common date that folks just give up.

What about you? Did you commit to lose weight in 2014?  Maybe your goal is to cook healthfully at home 4-5 nights per week.  Perhaps you are going to start juicing.  Our friends at have compiled a list of “10 High-Tech Tools to Try This Year” and we are pleased that Infrared Saunas made the list!  Specifically, it was one of our Sunlighten mPULSE Series saunas that was pictured!

Sunlighten's mPulse infrared sauna series makes the top 10 list of High Tech Tools to Try in 2014The listing points out several of the terrific health benefits of regular infrared sauna use, and even references a clinical study led by researchers at the University of Missouri Kansas City.  Researchers found that participants who enjoyed a 30-minute infrared sauna session, 3 days a week saw a reduction in blood pressure. “Regular infrared sauna therapy can help with detoxification, weight loss and pain relief. I recommend Sunlighten saunas because of their near infrared LED technology shown to improve cell health, immunity and skin rejuvenation,” says Ann Louise Gittleman, Ph.D., author of “The Fat Flush Plan.”

Making (and keeping) resolutions can be a healthy and motivating way to jump-start life-long changes.  But how do you keep them?  (Especially beyond January 17?)

  • Work on one specific, actionable thing at a time.  Pie-in-the-sky, overly general resolutions seldom work.  (Think: I’m going to save more money, be healthier and eat better.  This just has failure written all over it!)
  • The key is actionable behavior.  For the above goals, the better way of thinking might be this:  I’m going to put away $30 every week into a savings account and at the end of year, place it into a Roth IRA.  Or, I’m going to cook 4 meals per week, where raw, whole foods comprise at least 50% of my plate.
  • Check in with yourself every day!  Monitor your progress and celebrate your milestones.

Make 2014 your best, healthiest year yet!  Now’s a great time to take charge of your health and invest in your future!
