Do you remember 1999? That was the year that Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France for the first time (he went on to win six more times). Brandi Chastain’s penalty kick won the World Cup for the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team. The most popular movies of the year were Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace and The Sixth Sense. On TV, we watched, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, ER and Friends. The Top 40 hit of the summer was Genie In A Bottle, Christina Aguilera’s first hit.
Oh, and in August of that year, the company now known as Sunlighten was founded.
Fast forward 13 years. Lance Armstrong is retired from cycling. Brandi Chastain is now a soccer commentator, not player. The kid from The Sixth Sense is now 24 years old. ER and Friends are long-gone, some of their stars are now superstars. And Christina Aguilera is a seasoned judge on The Voice.
But 13 years in, Sunlighten is still around and better than ever. After launching several new products last year, we followed it up with an even bigger new product year in 2012. The new Signature far infrared sauna and the new Solopad are just the tip of iceberg though. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next 13 years!
