Sunlighten Celebrates National Physical Therapy Month

infrared sauna benefit physical therapy practiceNational Physical Therapy Month (NPTM) is held each October and seeks to recognize the impact physical therapists have on people’s lives. Sunlighten salutes all of the physical therapists across the county who work tirelessly to help enhance their clients’ quality of life through mobility. We are pleased to work with a large group of physical therapists who combine physical therapy with infrared sauna use.

Research shows that pairing exercise and infrared sauna experience leads to greatly improved and increased joint mobility. Michele Olson, Ph.D., F.A.C.S.M., C.S.C.S., recently led a study looking at the effect of a full-spectrum infrared sauna on flexibility. The full-spectrum infrared sauna used in the study was Sunlighten’s mPulse model. In Dr. Olson’s study, stretching while exposed to the sauna elicited higher, greater and more pronounced changes in acute range of motion in the hip, hamstrings and low back.

The study serves as further proof that the addition of a Sunlighten infrared sauna offers a great value-added benefit for your physical therapy practice. One physical therapist who travels from client to client in Pacific Palisades, Calif., says this about her Sunlighten Solo System Sauna:

“The Solo Sauna has been incredible for my clients to relax in before they receive bodywork. The portability and reliability is critical since it needs to travel with me.

I have worked with Sunlighten for over seven years and have purchased numerous products over the years. The word that best describes this company is integrity. They keep their word of what they promise to their customers when you buy their sauna.”

And here’s an added incentive: If you are interested in buying an infrared sauna for your business, you can reap the tax benefits by making your purchase before December 31! Section 179 of the Internal Revenue Code (U.S.) allows a business to deduct the full purchase price of qualifying equipment if purchased or financed during the tax year. This allows you to deduct the full price of the sauna from gross income.
