20 Years of Sunlighten

It was more than two decades ago that our brother, Jason Lincoln Jeffers, found healing of his chronic illness from infrared treatments. Charged with a desire to offer that same wellness opportunity to others, Jason started Sunlighten 20 years ago this month. Three years later, we joined him on this journey and haven’t looked back.

We started this adventure because we wanted to be part of something we believed in.  We had hopes of starting a business together, but most importantly, we wanted to do something that made a difference in people’s lives.  When Jason asked us to join him, we knew that this was our answer to have a business where we could help people live healthier lives and make a difference in this world.

The right choice is not always the easiest.  Especially in the beginning as we were figuring out what we were doing, it was sheer madness.  We had no clear vision at that point.  It was a matter of waking up each day, taking deep breaths and just trying to survive.  We had some failures along the way, but we held our heads high and always did what was right for the customer.  That is what got us where we are today.

As we reflect back over the last two decades, one of the things we are most proud of is creating a quality product that helps to heal people naturally.  It never gets old to hear customers rave about their experience.  It is invaluable.  But, Sunlighten is so much more than a sauna company.  Behind our wonderful products are wonderful people.  We have to recognize the importance of our associates, partners and customers that helped us along the way.

This is Sunlighten

Today at our global headquarters, the Sunlighten team has grown to over 100 incredible people committed to making the world a healthier place. We could not have done it without our loyal customers, followers and partners!

We are profoundly grateful for the last 20 years and look forward to many decades to come. We’ll keep innovating, partnering, and educating, all in an effort to share the message and tools for optimal health and wellness. Thank you for being part of our wellness family and making this possible.

Co-Owner

Connie Zack, co-owner of Sunlighten® has always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. She began her career via the fast track in the Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals Leadership Program in sales and marketing.  Being a minority with very few women in managerial roles, Connie made a commitment to rise up other women through the organization and served as a member of the P&G Women’s Board - a mentoring program for junior-level female staff.

When Connie’s brother overcame nearly a decade of illness using infrared therapy, she was thrilled to watch him return to the energetic, vibrant person he once was.  As a result, her brother founded Sunlighten (then Sunlight Saunas) in 1999 to spread the word about the therapy that changed his life. Inspired by this transformation, Connie left her safe, corporate job and “jumped off a cliff,” as she says, to join the company.  Connie's vision of empowering people to improve their quality of life has fueled Sunlighten ever since.
