Here’s a super-simple way to burn fat and boost health, and you’re already doing it! I’m talking about sleep. 4. Go Keto-Green™ all day.
These two yummy recipes will get you started!
- For lunch, enjoy a meal such as Lettuce Tacos. Saute together ½ pound free-range ground beef; 1 small yellow onion, chopped; 1 tablespoon coconut oil; 2 teaspoons chili powder; and 1 teaspoon salt. Place mixture in large lettuce leaves and top with avocado slices, some chopped cilantro, and diced tomato. Roll up like a burrito and enjoy.
- Move on to dinner with some yummy Crock-Pot Roast Beef:
- 1 beef roast, 1½ pounds
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, mashed
- ⅓ cup tamari
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons dry mustard
Rub roast with pepper and garlic.
Place in slow cooker with tamari, vinegar and dry mustard.
Cook on slow for 8 hours, or on high for 4 hours.
Makes 4 to 6 Servings
5. Test, don’t guess.
Track your progress to ensure your body’s main fuel source is fat and not sugar (a process called ketosis). Simply use my special Keto-pH Urine Test Strips. Your urine pH should be in the 7-8 range in the morning. It might take a few days to get there, so please be patient and remember you’re still burning fat. (I’ve outlined more ways to track your progress in The Hormone Fix.)
